Thomas Pennant (1726–1798) ‘Zoology’
Pennant studied at Oxford university fascinated by nature, with particular interest in animals, reptiles and amphibians. His studies influenced scientists of his day in particular Sir Joseph Banks. British Zoology made in 1776 is his best known work, exceptional engravings which he gave all profits made to charity. These prints are taken from ‘Zoology’ and are truly inspiring still to this day.

Hahnemuhle Hemp 290gsm Hemp is a resource saving plant whose robust and long lasting fibres have been a part of paper production for centuries, notably for the Gutenberg Bible. It is a natural white tone; colour and detail are reproduced brilliantly as well as being acid free, lignin free, and free from OBAs. Hemp has a smooth surface making it an ideal paper for digital artwork and illustrations. The archival quality pigment based inks we use are vegan and cruelty free.
