These are a favourite to Ramsay Collection again taken from Henri Lebasques (1865–1937) original watercolours. Lebasque became friends with artists of his time, such as Matisse and Dufy and in 1924 he settled in the South of France which is when his palette became brighter and his subject matter, happier. Critics of the time described hime as ‘The painter of Joy and Light’ and you can see why in this colourful set of six. The set includes both portrait and landscape sizes to cover a wall in a less formal way. Ideal in a sitting room, bedroom or study.
